Prof. Somashekhar Nimbalkar heads the Department of Neonatology at Pramukhswami Medical College. He has additional responsibilities of Head Central Research Services, Charutar Arogya Mandal and Member Secretary, Research and Innovation Council, Bhaikaka University. He began the first IAP Neonatology Fellowship in Gujarat in 2009. In 2021, he started the NMC-approved for DM in Neonatology course at Pramukhswami Medical College, the first DM Neonatology course in Gujarat.
